Briefing Characters Published New
Who else is in GTA VI: Rockstar's confirmed supporting cast
Beyond Jason and Lucia, Rockstar has published official profiles for six more acts — Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Who they are on first-party evidence, the record-label thread binding three of them together, which ones turned up in the Extended Look, and three more names from the same footage -- Raymond, Ernesto and Mendez.
Ask who is in Grand Theft Auto VI and most answers name two people. Rockstar has published eight.
Verdict: Confirmed: alongside Jason and Lucia, Rockstar's own site profiles six further acts — Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. A stated record-label partnership binds three of them. Three appeared in the Extended Look. None of this required reading anything into a trailer frame.
Who is in GTA VI's supporting cast?
The supporting cast is not a community reconstruction. It sits in the "Only in Leonida" section of Rockstar's own Grand Theft Auto VI site as authored profiles — a short paragraph of framing each.
- Cal Hampton — Jason's friend; happiest at home with a beer, a scanner on Coast Guard traffic and a browser full of private tabs. Rockstar's framing is affectionate about his paranoia.
- Boobie Ike — a Vice City figure who turned a street reputation into a legitimate empire across real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. Rockstar gives him the tag "the Jack of Hearts".
- Dre'Quan Priest — described as a hustler rather than a gangster, dealing to get by while aiming at the music business the whole time.
- Real Dimez — the duo Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since school, who converted shaking down local dealers into rap tracks and a relentless social presence.
- Raul Bautista — a career bank robber, recruiting people willing to take the risks that pay.
- Brian Heder — an old-school Keys smuggler still moving product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, long past the point of doing his own dirty work.
Because it's first-party, this is settled in a way almost nothing else about this game is. It is also strictly an introduction: names, framing, and a sentence of attitude. The profiles say nothing about what any of these people do across the story, whether they're playable, or how they end up.
Which GTA VI characters share a storyline?
Half the supporting cast shares one storyline, and Rockstar draws the connection itself rather than leaving it to be inferred. Boobie Ike's profile singles out his partnership with Dre'Quan Priest in Only Raw Records as the venture he's most invested in. Dre'Quan's profile has him signing Real Dimez to that label. Real Dimez are framed as one hit away, having charted once already.
Three of six profiled acts, one business. That is the densest cluster in the published cast, and it's a fair signal that Rockstar built a music-industry corner of this world with some care. It is not evidence that this is a major playable strand — knowing three characters share a record label tells you the corner exists, not how much of the game happens inside it.
Who does Jason know at the start?
One more thing the profiles settle. Jason doesn't begin as a stranger: Brian Heder lets him live rent-free at one of his properties, with help on local shakedowns as the rent, and Cal Hampton is both Jason's friend and another of Brian's associates.
So two of the six profiled supporting characters are attached specifically to Jason. The profiles say noticeably less about Lucia's side of the board. Whether that asymmetry means anything is exactly the kind of question the source doesn't answer, and we're not going to answer it for it.
Which characters appeared in the Extended Look?
Read against the published profiles, the striking thing about the Extended Look is how little of its cast was new. Two outlets watching independently — with no shared corporate parent — report the same three profiled characters: Boobie, as the person Jason and Lucia are collecting something for; Raul, picked up while the police give chase; and Brian, in a scene of his own.
None of the three is a discovery. Each had a name and a paragraph on Rockstar's own site before the presentation aired. What the video adds is confirmation that the published cast is the working cast. That's a duller headline than "new character revealed" and a considerably more reliable one.
Who are Raymond, Ernesto and Mendez?
Three more names surface in the presentation's opening sequence, none of them in Rockstar's published profiles.
Jason and Lucia go to an apartment building to collect for Boobie Ike, and meet Raymond -- an associate of Boobie's, wary about moving product since his partner disappeared. The exchange is interrupted. A phone call from Ernesto, the missing partner, brings the police, and an officer named Mendez leads the raid that follows.
Ernesto and Mendez are confirmed: two outlets with different corporate owners, watching separately, place the same call as the trigger and name the same officer leading the raid.
Raymond sits a step below that, at inference. The wording that names him -- "a cat named Raymond" -- reads as an animal taken alone, but the sentence it belongs to continues "and taking an elevator to a drug den," describing movement past someone rather than a pause for a background pet, and "cat" as older slang for "a guy" fits both that sentence and the scene around it. No outlet says outright that Raymond is a person, so this stops short of confirmed.
What does the cast tell us about GTA VI's story?
The cast question has a better answer than most GTA VI questions, because Rockstar simply published it. Eight acts, named and framed by the people making the game. What none of it tells you is the story — and the gap between "here is who exists" and "here is what happens" is the whole distance still left to run.
What changes this: Any further character profile Rockstar adds to its own site, a second independent account of the Extended Look's remaining background detail, or the game itself on 19 November 2026.
Correction (28 Aug 2026): an earlier version of this page described Raymond as a cat, following one outlet's wording; he is a character, and the superseded claim is kept on the record below.

Open the claim record — 7 claims
- Confirmed Very High confidence
Rockstar publishes official character profiles for six supporting acts beyond Jason and Lucia: Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista, and Brian Heder.
- Confirmed Very High confidence
Rockstar's own profiles connect three supporting acts through a single music-business thread: Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest are partners in the Only Raw Records label, which has signed the duo Real Dimez.
- Confirmed Very High confidence
Rockstar's profiles tie two supporting characters directly to Jason: Brian Heder houses him in exchange for help with local shakedowns, and Cal Hampton is his friend and a fellow associate of Brian's.
- Confirmed High confidence
Three of the officially-profiled supporting characters — Boobie Ike, Raul Bautista, and Brian Heder — appear in the Extended Look.
- Confirmed High confidence
The Extended Look's apartment-building sequence includes a phone call from a character named Ernesto that leads directly to a police raid, and the raid is led by an officer named Mendez.
- Inference Very Low confidence
Complex's Extended Look breakdown describes "a cat named Raymond" in the apartment building at the start of the presentation; this is contradicted by a direct re-reading of the same account in context and by multiple other descriptions of the same scene, which converge on Raymond as a human character.
- Inference Moderate confidence
Raymond, named in the Extended Look's opening apartment-building sequence, is very likely a human character -- an associate of Boobie Ike's drug operation -- rather than the cat one account's literal wording suggested.
