Are GTA VI's album artists in the game? The cameo rumours, graded
Is Travis Scott in GTA VI? He keeps hinting: a GTA VI reference in a 2025 music video, and an album track billed as 'recorded live at the J.O.H.', which fans read as the game's Jack of Hearts club. Musicians have appeared in GTA games before. But Rockstar's album announcement names tracks, not characters, and nobody claims to know of an appearance. Graded.
Thirty-four artists made songs for GTA VI's album. Fans would like at least one of them to walk into the game, and Travis Scott keeps leaving clues.
Verdict: Speculation, Low confidence, that Travis Scott or other album artists appear in GTA VI as themselves. The hints are real; none of them is a report of an appearance. Confirmed: the album, its 34 tracks and its first six artists, including Scott.
Is Travis Scott in GTA VI?
Not as far as anything on the record says. What exists is a run of hints from Scott himself:
- July 2025: his "2000 Excursion" music video included a GTA VI reference, which fans took as a tease.
- 15 September 2026: he was one of eight artists posting matching GTA VI-styled visuals, and the only one to tag Rockstar directly.
- 17 September 2026: his track "RHYNO" was among the first six songs on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, and he billed it as "recorded live at the J.O.H."
"J.O.H." reads naturally as the Jack of Hearts, the club Boobie Ike runs in GTA VI. That's a promotional in-joke at minimum. Whether it means Scott performs there in the game, nobody has said.
Do real musicians appear in GTA games?
They have. Previous Rockstar games have featured real artists as themselves, in story content and in GTA Online, so a cameo would have precedent. Precedent explains why the theory is popular. It isn't evidence that it's happening this time.
Will GTA VI's album artists be on the radio?
Rockstar hasn't said that either. The album is a companion release with Atlantic Records, and Rockstar hasn't described it as the in-game radio catalogue. The album briefing covers what's confirmed about the 34 tracks.
Are there any celebrity cameos in GTA VI?
None announced. Rockstar has named its characters, with official bios for the main and supporting cast, and none is a real person playing themselves. If cameos exist, they've been kept back, the way Rockstar keeps most story surprises.
Should you expect Travis Scott in GTA VI?
Expect his song. A cameo is a fair guess and nothing more, so we grade it Speculation at Low confidence. The released game settles it on 19 November 2026.
What changes this: Rockstar or an artist confirming an in-game appearance, or the released game.
