Will there be a GTA VI Trailer 3?

In effect, Trailer 3 was the Extended Look: after trailers in December 2023 and May 2025, Rockstar's 26-minute video in August was its third official one, and it settled our own July call that another would come. The question now is one more before 19 November. Red Dead Redemption 2's campaign ended with a launch trailer eight days before release, so we've staked 75% on one, most likely near GTA VI's 12 November pre-load.

Two trailers, nearly three years apart, and then 26 minutes on Netflix. People still ask for Trailer

  1. In effect they've had it; the real question is whether one more comes before launch.

Verdict: Confirmed: Rockstar has released two GTA VI trailers and the Extended Look, a third official video, and as of 4 October 2026 hasn't announced another. Inference, High confidence: one more official trailer comes before 19 November, staked at 75% in our prediction ledger. Speculation, Moderate confidence: it's a launch trailer around the 12 November pre-load.

Is there a GTA VI Trailer 3?

Not under that name. Rockstar's GTA VI trailers so far are Trailer 1, on 5 December 2023, and Trailer 2, on 6 May 2025. Rockstar's own news page has nothing about another, and its latest GTA VI posts are about the Collector's Box and the album. When Sony showed GTA VI at Tokyo Game Show in September, it played the Extended Look again, not new footage.

Was the GTA VI Extended Look Trailer 3?

In effect, yes. "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" is the third official video Rockstar has released for the game, 26 minutes long, on its own channels after a Netflix premiere. Rockstar didn't title it "Trailer 3", and it's longer and more about play than a trailer, but it's how the series followed Trailer 2. It also settled a call we made in July, that Rockstar would publish at least one more official trailer before launch: the Extended Look met it on 27 August. The Extended Look briefing covers what it showed.

Will GTA VI get another trailer before launch?

Probably. Rockstar ended Red Dead Redemption 2's campaign with a launch trailer, the release date is fixed, pre-orders are open, and the marketing is getting louder, from the Miami Heat night to a mural in Brooklyn. Against that, the Extended Look already showed the game at length, and Rockstar can go a long time without a trailer. We've staked it at 75%: Inference, High confidence. It counts if Rockstar's own channels publish a new titled trailer of 45 seconds or more by 19 November; ads and re-cuts don't.

When could GTA VI's next trailer come out?

Around 12 November is the best guess, and only a guess. Rockstar released Red Dead Redemption 2's launch trailer on 18 October 2018, eight days before the game came out on 26 October. GTA VI's pre-load opens on 12 November, a week before release, so a launch trailer around then would follow the same pattern. Some fans hoped the Brooklyn mural meant a trailer in October; nothing Rockstar has said supports a date. Speculation, Moderate confidence.

What would a GTA VI launch trailer show?

Probably less than you'd think. Red Dead Redemption 2's launch trailer was short and to the point, built to sell the mood rather than reveal anything. After the Extended Look and two months of previews, GTA VI doesn't need to explain its systems again. Expect Jason and Lucia, the story's stakes and a release date, not a feature list. That's a reading of Rockstar's habits, not a report.

So will there be one more GTA VI trailer?

Probably, and probably close to launch: a short launch trailer in the week of the pre-load is the pattern Rockstar's last big game set. Whether anyone calls it Trailer 4 is up to Rockstar.

What changes this: Rockstar releasing a new GTA VI trailer, which settles the 75% call as correct, or 19 November arriving without one, which settles it as wrong.
