GTA VI trailer songs: every track in the trailers and the Extended Look
Trailer 1 (December 2023) is set to Tom Petty's 'Love Is a Long Road'; Trailer 2 (May 2025) to The Pointer Sisters' 'Hot Together'. The 26-minute Extended Look plays at least a dozen more, from Phil Collins to Kodak Black, identified by listeners; Rockstar hasn't published a tracklist. GTA VI: The Album is a separate, 34-track release.
Each GTA VI trailer is built around an older song, and Tom Petty's streams jumped after the first. Here's what plays in each, and what Rockstar has and hasn't said about the music. This page names the songs; it doesn't reproduce lyrics.
Verdict: Confirmed: GTA VI's first trailer is set to Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road", and its second to The Pointer Sisters' "Hot Together". Confirmed, High confidence: the Extended Look plays at least 12 more licensed songs, identified by listeners. Rockstar hasn't published a tracklist for any of them.
What song is in GTA VI's first trailer?
"Love Is a Long Road" by Tom Petty, from 1989. The trailer came out on 5 December 2023, and Spotify said the song's streams rose by 36,979% the following week. Petty's estate called its use an honour.
What song is in GTA VI Trailer 2?
"Hot Together" by The Pointer Sisters, from 1986, written by Sharon Robinson. Trailer 2 came out on 6 May 2025.
What songs are in the GTA VI Extended Look?
At least 12, identified by two outlets listening independently. Several play on in-game radios and car stereos:
- "Pop Bottles", Birdman and Lil Wayne
- "Pound Town", Sexyy Red and Tay Keith
- "Skrilla", Kodak Black
- "Let Your Love Flow", The Bellamy Brothers
- "Love Bites", Def Leppard
- "People Are People", Depeche Mode
- "But I Think It's a Dream", Captain & Tennille
- "Cars and Girls", Prefab Sprout
- "Devil Woman", Cliff Richard
- "Se Me Nota (Agarrame)", Chimbala and Omega
- "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)", Phil Collins
- "Inner Light", Elderbrook and Bob Moses
Game Rant adds two more: "Off the Grid" by !!! featuring Meah Pace, and "Mine O' Mine" by Aluna and Jayda G. Rolling Stone Canada notes that "no official soundtrack has been provided", so treat any one title as a careful identification, not Rockstar's list.
Is GTA VI: The Album the trailer soundtrack?
No, it's a separate release. Rockstar announced a 34-track original album, made with Atlantic Records, on 17 September 2026, out with the game on 19 November. Six tracks are out, by artists including Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen and Keith Richards; the other 28 are undisclosed. Rockstar hasn't said the album is the game's radio.
What will be on GTA VI's radio?
Six stations so far, but no song lists. On 8 October 2026 Rockstar named Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics, each with two hosts, plus on-demand podcasts. It published no tracklists, so which of the trailer songs play on which station is still unknown. The songs heard so far run from 1970s and 1980s pop to current rap and Latin tracks, several of them on in-game radios, but there's no official soundtrack list. The radio-stations briefing has the detail.
What changes this: a Rockstar tracklist for the stations, a new trailer with a new song, or the game itself on 19 November.
