    Will GTA VI's map grow after launch, and is Liberty City coming? Bloomberg's 2022 report and the 2026 Liberty City files, graded. Neither is announced.

    • Rumor Moderate Bloomberg reported in 2022 that Rockstar planned to keep adding missions and cities to GTA VI after release. Rockstar has never said so, and the report predates two delays and the single-player launch plan.
    • Speculation Very Low Files from a cancelled GTA V expansion set in a much larger Liberty City surfaced in September 2026, and fans want it in GTA VI. Nothing connects those files, or any Rockstar plan, to GTA VI.

    How many buildings can you enter in GTA VI? Rockstar says 'a huge number'. The 70% claim and GameRoll's 700+ stores, graded against what Rockstar has said.

    • Rumor Low The 70% figure comes from an account that posted leaked footage days before the first trailer in 2023. Some of its other claims came true, some didn't, and Rockstar has never given a percentage.
    • Rumor Moderate GameRoll, whose earlier GTA VI claims mostly came true, said in June 2025 that the game has over 700 stores and malls you can enter and rob. He wasn't sure what his source counted as a store. Rockstar says you can rob almost any shop, but has given no number.

    • Rumor Very Low A rumour that has come back in waves since late 2025, from viral posts, an anonymous 4chan claim and small social accounts, never from a named source with current inside access. Every official signal points the other way: Take-Two reaffirmed 19 November in May, pre-loading starts on 12 November, and both console stores list a 19 November release.
    • Rumor Very Low An anonymous 4chan post, spread on X on 20 May 2026, said the delay would be announced on Take-Two's earnings call the next day. On that call, Strauss Zelnick said the game was still releasing on 19 November. The rumour failed the test it set itself.

    Is the leaked GTA VI map real? What's known about the August 2026 leak, Take-Two's court action and the map rumours, graded without linking any leak.

    • Rumor Moderate Take-Two treated the leak as its property, and mapping communities found many details matching official media. But Rockstar hasn't confirmed the image, some of its labels appear in no official material, and development maps change. Leak-based, so it stays a rumor however convincing it looks.
    • Rumor Low The leaked map image is reported to carry five county labels. Rockstar has named regions of Leonida, never counties, and county names are exactly the kind of detail that changes during development.

    • Rumor Low The figure traces to a 2024 post by the X account GTA 6 Intel and a May 2026 post by WILL_STORM12; neither names a source. Rockstar hasn't published an install size. Pre-loading on 12 November will show the real number.

    Will GTA VI Online be sold separately? It has no official name, price or date. The multiplayer rumours, from standalone sales to 32-player lobbies, graded.

    • Rumor Low Leaker Tez2 claimed in January 2025 that GTA VI's online mode would be sold standalone at launch; the launch is now officially single-player, so that timing failed. In July 2026, Xbox users noticed the install is split into 'Story' and add-on parts. Separation fits Rockstar's history, but nothing official says how multiplayer will be sold.
    • Rumor Very Low Fravilys, a former editor at the fansite Rockstar Mag, said in July 2025 that one unnamed inside source described 64-player sessions and a 96-player goal. Single, unverifiable origin; the court filings point to 32-player tests.

    • Rumor Low VGC's Andy Robinson said on the VGC Podcast on 4 September 2026 that there is "a bit of noise" about Rockstar pushing the PC version up. A respected journalist relaying industry chatter, not a report with a named source; no PC version or window has been announced.
    • Rumor Very Low DetectiveSeeds said in April 2026 that three of about 90 former Rockstar employees he contacted on LinkedIn named February 2027, before the end of Take-Two's fiscal year. Second-hand, from people who may not know current plans, on a sample of three.
    • Rumor Low Insiders Nash Weedle and NateTheHate said in November 2025 that Rockstar was testing GTA VI on Switch 2; Nash Weedle said in June 2026 the technical hurdles were overcome and the port wouldn't ship in 2026; a French retailer's document listed Switch 2 editions in September.
